Whether headlining a show, festival, theater stage or touring the globe with some of the biggest artists, vocalist COURTNEY GAYLE and guitarist ELI MENEZES, have been performing locally and abroad for over 15 years. The pair met in January of 2019 and began a musical project together which soon gave birth to Gritty Sunset within a few months. After well over a decade in the music and event industry in New York City (where they met), they desired a change and figured they could bring their rich musical experience and fierce east coast hustle to the “Live Music Capital of the World”.
In September of 2020, they decided to make the cross-country move to the vibrant and ever-evolving city of Austin.. With an overwhelming and gracious warm welcome from the incredible Austin musician community coupled with Courtney and Eli’s extensive performance background in NYC, the duo was quickly plugged into this city’s vivacious music scene.
From both public and private events to weddings, cocktail hours, corporate parties, holiday parties, fundraising galas, welcome receptions, their paired tenure in vocal performance and guitar brings a memorable and dynamic experience to any occasion.

Similar to Eli, she enjoys making any song she sings unique to her personal vocal style. With her BA in Musical Theater, she can easily take on any character or role if a song requires a certain dramatic value.
